NFL Sunday Night Football

Giants vs Broncos Free Pick

Trevor Siemian leads Broncos -8.5 against GiantsSunday Night Football for Week 6 of the NFL regular season features an inter-conference clash between the New York Giants and the host Denver Broncos. The current line on top sportsbooks has Denver favored by 11.5 points with the over/under point total on 39.5.

Entering the game, New York has an overall record of 0-5 straight up and 2-3 against the spread. On the road, the Giants are 0-3 SU and 2-1 ATS. Denver on the season is 3-1 SU and 2-1- ATS. At home, the Broncos are 3-0 SU and 2-0-1 ATS.

This season is for all intends and purposes over for the Giants after starting 0-5, with their playoff chances all but gone and injuries continuing to take their best skills position players off the field. Things do not get any easier playing at night in Denver in one of the league’s toughest venues.

The Giants lost their past three games by just a combined 10 points, but the most damaging of all was last week’s 22-17 defeat to the Chargers. Both starting wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Odell Beckham Jr. were lost for the season with ankle injuries.

Denver is rested following its bye but must fight against any letdown in its attempt to keep pace with AFC West rival Kansas City the league’s only undefeated team at 5-0.

Denver lost to Buffalo and needed an interception late in the game to hold off Oakland before its bye week. However, the Broncos routed Dallas 42-17 in Week 2.

The defense for Denver leads the NFL in yards allowed per game at 261 and against the run allowing only 51 yards per game.

On offense, wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders give quarterback Trevor Siemian strong downfield options.

Giants’ veteran quarterback Eli Manning has watched three wide receivers lost to season ending injuries, while a fourth Sterling Shepard did not practice this week.

Starting running back Paul Perkins is slowed by an injury which means the running game will feature Wayne Gallman and Orleans Darkwa.

Denver linebacker Von Miller recorded four quarterback sacks in his past three games.

Manning in his past six games versus opponents from the AFC has 1,595 yards passing, 17 touchdown passes and 7 interceptions.

New York is 4-1-1 ATS in its last 6 games after a loss ATS.

Denver is 3-1-1 ATS in its last 5 game played.

With this free pick, we like Denver to cover.

Chiefs vs Texans Free Pick

Week 5 ends its Sunday schedule with a Sunday Night Football showdown between the visiting Kansas City Chiefs and the host Houston Texans. The current line on top sportsbooks has the game as a PICK, with the over/under point total sitting on 45.

Entering this game, Kansas City is 4-0 straight up and against the spread. On the road, the Chiefs are 2-0 SU and ATS. Houston on the season is 2-2 SU and 3-1 ATS. At home, the Texans are 1-1 SU and ATS.

Kansas City enters this game as the only unbeaten team in the NFL after four weeks but will have a stiff test against Houston and the Texans’ rookie sensation at quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The Chiefs will be coming in off a late game field that beat the Washington Redskins Monday night. Kansas City has its own flashy rookie in running back Kareem Bell who leads the NFL in rushing with 502 yards and has 659 yards from scrimmage.

Houston has been a different team since Watson took over at quarterback. The rookie out of Clemson either passed or rushed for five touchdowns in Houston’s 57-14 rout of Tennessee. But All-Pro defensive end J.J. Watt has cautioned his Texans’ teammates not to get carried away over the win last week.

Kansas City quarterback Alex Smith is playing superb under center. Smith knows how tough it can be playing on the road and knows limiting turnovers is the key to his team’s success. He leads the NFL in passer rating at 124 and completion percentage at 76%.

Watson passed for 283 yards and four TDs last week while rushing for another. DeAndre Hopkins with 31 receptions is Watson’s favorite target, but Will Fuller another wide receiver caught two touchdowns passes last week against the Titans.

Kansas City’s Hunt can become just the second rookie in NFL history with 100 yards from scrimmage or more in each of his first five NFL games.

Houston’s Watson is the only rookie quarterback in NFL history to throw seven or more touchdowns passes and rush for two more in his first four games of his rookie season.

Houston beat Kansas City last season 19-12, but Kansas City had won three straight against Houston prior to that loss.

Kansas City is 13-3 ATS in its last 16 games on the road.

Houston is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games after a win straight up.

With this free pick, we like Houston to win.

Colts vs Seahawks Free Pick

Sunday Night Football playSunday’s Week 4 NFL schedule concludes with Sunday Night Football when the Indianapolis Colts visit the Seattle Seahawks. The current line on top sportsbooks has Seattle favored by 13 points with the over/under point total on 41.5.

Entering this game, Indianapolis has an overall record of 1-2 straight up and 2-1 against the spread. On the road, the Colts are 0-1 SU and ATS. Seattle on the season is 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS. At home, the Seahawks are 1-0 SU and 0-1 ATS.

Indianapolis practiced using loud music knowing it will be hard to hear anything at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, especially at night with the team playing in front of a national audience in prime time.

The Colts beat Cleveland last week 31-28, behind backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett who the Colts acquired from the Patriots in early September.

Seattle has not played like a team that won 10 games or more for five straight seasons, as it has struggled on both offense and defense to start the season. Offensively, the Seahawks played well in last week’s loss to Tennessee 33-27, but the defense did not.

With starting quarterback Andrew Luck still not practicing; Brissett will continue to start for the Colts. He became the Colts first ever quarterback to rush for a pair of touchdowns, pass for one other and throw for 250 yards or more as Indianapolis scored 28 points during the first half versus Cleveland.

The defense for Seattle had for many games not allowed an opposing running back to rush for over 100 yards, but has allowed an opposing rusher to do so in two straight games. Last week, the Titans running back DeMarco Murray rushed for 195 yards.

The Seattle offense scored 21 combined points the first two week, but started to click last week with Russell Wilson throwing for 373 yards and four touchdowns. One possible issue for this game is Doug Baldwin the Seahawks top receiver has a groin strain and sat out of practice this week. His status is unknown for the game.

Indianapolis is 26-8 ATS in its last 34 games versus an opponent with a record below .500.

Seattle is 5-2 ATS in its last 7 games played at home.

With this free pick, we like Indianapolis to cover.

Raiders vs Redskins Free Pick

Sunday’s Week 3 schedule of the NFL concludes when the Oakland Raiders visit the nation’s capital to play the Washington Redskins on Sunday Night Football. The current line on top sportsbooks has Oakland favored by 3 points with the over/under point total on 54.5.

Entering this game, Oakland on the season is 2-0 straight up and against the spread. On the road, the Raiders are 1-0 SU and ATS. Washington on the season is 1-1 SU and ATS. At home, the Redskins are 0-1 SU and ATS.

Oakland has started strong this season looks to be a contender with New England for the AFC title. Quarterback Derek Carr leads a potent offense against the Redskins. Carr is 14-3 over his last 17 starts for the Raiders.

Washington opened with a 30-17 loss to Philadelphia at home, but rallied in its second game to beat the Los Angeles Rams 27-20.

Marshawn Lynch unretired to sign with Oakland and last week rushed for 45 yards with one touchdown in the Raiders 45-20 rout of the Jets. The Raiders rushed for 180 in the game.

Carr on the season has thrown 5 touchdown passes and no interceptions through two weeks. Amari Cooper has two straight 1,000 receiving seasons and teams up with Michael Crabtree to form one of the league’s best receiving corps.

Defensively, Khalil Mack is the leader and since the start of the 2015 season has 27 sacks which is tops in the league.

Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins passed for close to 5,000 yards in 2016, but has started this season slower, after losing wide receivers to free agency. His new favorite target is Terrelle Pryor a wide receiver who converted from quarterback.

Both Rob Kelley the starting running back and Jordan Reed the starting tight end are questionable for the game due to injuries for Washington.

Last week, the Redskins rushed for 229 yards and will look to establish the run to try to keep Carr and his offense off the field as much as possible.

The Redskins defense is allowing just 77 yards per game on the ground, but Philadelphia passed for over 300 yards against them in Week 1. Josh Norman the Redskins top corner has an injured shoulder and was limited in his workouts this week.

Oakland is 10-3 ATS over its last 13 games on the road.

Washington is 6-1 ATS in its last 7 games versus a team with a record above .500.

With this free pick, we like Oakland to cover.

Packers vs Falcons Free Pick

Sunday Night Football ends the second Sunday of the NFL regular season when the Green Bay Packers visit the Atlanta Falcons. The current line on top sportsbooks has Atlanta favored by 3 points with the over/under point total on 55.5.

Entering this game, Green Bay is 1-0 straight up and against the spread, while Atlanta is 1-0 SU and 0-1 ATS. This will be Green Bay’s first road game and Atlanta’s first at home.

Green Bay lost in the NFC Championship to Atlanta the last time it played in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. However, the Packers have a chance at revenge, but with the stakes far lower in this Week 2 matchup.

The Packers opened their season with a hard fought 17-9 win over the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field, while Atlanta opened with a 23-17 victory over the Chicago Bears, but did not cover as 9-point chalk.

Aaron Rodgers passed for 311 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 1 against Seattle’s tough defense. In seven games against Atlanta, Rodgers has a 117.0 passer rating.

Ty Montgomery rushed for one touchdown and accumulated 93 total yards, while Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb combined for 16 receptions and one touchdown for the Packers against the Seahawks.

Two offensive linemen for the Packers might miss Sunday’s game due to injury and illness, which could cause problems protecting Rodgers and opening holes for the running game.

Matt Ryan threw an 88-yard touchdown pass to Austin Hooper his tight end late in the Falcons win over the Bears, and ended the game with 321 yards through the air.

Ryan’s numbers have been huge against the Packers the past three games with 1,055 yards passing, 11 touchdown passes and just one interception. Last season Julio Jones, who caught four passes last week, had 180 receiving yards against the Packers and 259 yards against them in 2014.

Rodgers needs just two more touchdown passes to reach 300 for his career and join 10 others who have done the same.

Atlanta linebacker Vic Beasley sacked the quarterback once last week and has 16.5 since the beginning of last season, which leads the league.

Green Bay is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games versus NFC opponents.

Atlanta is 6-2 ATS in its last 8 games versus NFC opponents.

With this free pick, we like Green Bay to cover.
