Chiefs vs Raiders Free Pick

Alex Smith opposing Derek Carr on Thursday Night FootballWeek 7 of the NFL regular season kicks off with Thursday Night Football when the Kansas City Chiefs visit the Oakland Raiders in an AFC West showdown. The current line on top sportsbooks has Kansas City favored by 3 points with the over/under point total on 47.

Entering this game, Kansas City on the season is 5-1 straight up and against the spread. On the road, the Chiefs are 3-0 SU and ATS. Oakland on the season is 2-4 SU and ATS. At home, the Raiders are 1-2 SU and ATS.

Kansas City lost for the first time last weekend, when Pittsburgh exposed a defensive weakness and downed the Chiefs 19-13. Oakland after winning its first two games of the season has now lost four in a row losing last week to the Los Angeles Chargers 17-16.

The Chiefs opened the season 5-0 due to a rushing attack led by rookie running back Kareem Hunt and big play wide receiver Tyreek Hill. However, last week against the Steelers, Hill was injured and could have a concussion.

Defensively, the Chiefs were dominated by the Steelers offensive line as Pittsburgh’s Le’Veon Bell carried the ball 32 times for 179 yards.

Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith threw for 223 yards, but the running game for Chiefs was almost non-existent with just 28 yards on the ground, and Hunt held to just 21 yards.

Oakland has averaged just 13.2 points a game during its current losing streak of four straight. Derek Carr returned to quarterback the Raiders after missing the Raiders loss to Baltimore with an injured back, but it was obvious Carr is still not 100%. Carr threw for just 171 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions.

The Raiders running attack has not been very good through six games, with offseason acquisition Marshawn Lynch not living up to lofty expectations after returning from one year of retirement.

The Raiders defense let them down as well, as the Chargers drove down the field on the final drive to kick a field goal as time ran out giving them the 1-point victory.

Offensively, the Raiders are No. 30 in the league in total yards per game and No. 26 in passing yards.

Kansas City is 6-0 ATS in its last 6 games versus opponents from the AFC West.

Oakland is 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games against opponents from the AFC West.

With this free pick, we like Kansas City to cover.

Colts vs Titans Free Pick

Titans expect Marcus Mariota back under center Monday night.Monday Night Football ends Week 6 of the NFL regular season when the Indianapolis Colts visit the Tennessee Titans in an AFC South showdown. The current line on top sportsbooks has Tennessee favored by 7.5 points with the over/under point total on 48.

Entering this game, Indianapolis on the season is 2-3 straight up and against the spread. On the road, the Colts are 0-2 SU and ATS. Tennessee on the season is 2-3 SU and ATS. At home, the Titans are 1-1 SU and ATS.

Last week Tennessee played and lost without its starting quarterback Marcus Mariota, while Indianapolis has played each game this season without its starter under center Andrew Luck.

Mariota is expected to return for Monday’s game as the Titans look to snap a losing streak of 11 straight games against Indianapolis. Last weekend without Mariota under center the Titans gained only 188 yards of total offense in their loss of 16-10 to Miami.

The Colts have seen more output on offense since Jacoby Brissett has become accustomed to the offense after the quarterback was acquired by the Colts the first week of the season from New England.

Last week Brissett threw for 314 yards, which is his career high, and scored a rushing touchdown in the Colts 26-23 win over the 49ers.

T.Y. Hilton caught 7 passes for 177 yards against San Francisco last week for the Colts. Last October, Hilton caught 7 passes for 133 yards against the Titans in the Colts comeback victory at Tennessee.

Tennessee’s rushing attack has not been up to par with DeMarco Murray gaining only 89 yards combined the past two games, including just 69 yards on the ground last week against Miami.

However, the Colts give up an NFL-worst 31.8 points a game, so Tennessee will look to put up big numbers on the score board. Rishard Matthews leads the Titans in receptions at home with 20 for 272 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Adam Vinatieri kicked four field goals for the Colts last week.

Tennessee rookie wide receiver Corey Davis will not play due to a hamstring injury.

Indianapolis is 10-2 ATS in its last 12 games on the road versus a team that has a record below .500.

Tennessee is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games played on Monday Night Football.

With this free pick, we like Tennessee to cover.

Giants vs Broncos Free Pick

Trevor Siemian leads Broncos -8.5 against GiantsSunday Night Football for Week 6 of the NFL regular season features an inter-conference clash between the New York Giants and the host Denver Broncos. The current line on top sportsbooks has Denver favored by 11.5 points with the over/under point total on 39.5.

Entering the game, New York has an overall record of 0-5 straight up and 2-3 against the spread. On the road, the Giants are 0-3 SU and 2-1 ATS. Denver on the season is 3-1 SU and 2-1- ATS. At home, the Broncos are 3-0 SU and 2-0-1 ATS.

This season is for all intends and purposes over for the Giants after starting 0-5, with their playoff chances all but gone and injuries continuing to take their best skills position players off the field. Things do not get any easier playing at night in Denver in one of the league’s toughest venues.

The Giants lost their past three games by just a combined 10 points, but the most damaging of all was last week’s 22-17 defeat to the Chargers. Both starting wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Odell Beckham Jr. were lost for the season with ankle injuries.

Denver is rested following its bye but must fight against any letdown in its attempt to keep pace with AFC West rival Kansas City the league’s only undefeated team at 5-0.

Denver lost to Buffalo and needed an interception late in the game to hold off Oakland before its bye week. However, the Broncos routed Dallas 42-17 in Week 2.

The defense for Denver leads the NFL in yards allowed per game at 261 and against the run allowing only 51 yards per game.

On offense, wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders give quarterback Trevor Siemian strong downfield options.

Giants’ veteran quarterback Eli Manning has watched three wide receivers lost to season ending injuries, while a fourth Sterling Shepard did not practice this week.

Starting running back Paul Perkins is slowed by an injury which means the running game will feature Wayne Gallman and Orleans Darkwa.

Denver linebacker Von Miller recorded four quarterback sacks in his past three games.

Manning in his past six games versus opponents from the AFC has 1,595 yards passing, 17 touchdown passes and 7 interceptions.

New York is 4-1-1 ATS in its last 6 games after a loss ATS.

Denver is 3-1-1 ATS in its last 5 game played.

With this free pick, we like Denver to cover.

Steelers vs Chiefs Free Pick

Le'Veon Bell's rushing will be key in game versus ChiefsWeek 6 of the NFL regular season features a big AFC showdown when the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Kansas City Chiefs. The current line on top sportsbooks has Kansas City favored by 4 points with the over/under point total on 47.

Entering this game, Pittsburgh on the season is 3-2 straight up and 2-3 against the spread. On the road, the Steelers are 2-1 SU and 1-2 ATS. Kansas City on the season is 5-0 SU and ATS. At home, the Chiefs are 2-0 SU and ATS.

The last time Kansas City lost a game was to Pittsburgh, when the Steelers ousted the Chiefs from the playoffs last season 18-16 at Arrowhead in Kansas City. The Chiefs are the only team that remains unbeaten in the NFL this season after five weeks.

Pittsburgh beat Kansas City twice last season – a rout of 43-14 during the regular season and the 2-point victory in the playoffs. In the playoff loss the offense for Kansas City could only generate 227 total yards.

However, this season the offense for the Chiefs is No. 2 in the NFL in total offense and No. 1 in scoring. At the same time, the Steelers are 1-2 over their last three games played, including an embarrassing 30-9 loss last weekend to Jacksonville in a game that saw veteran Ben Roethlisberger toss five interceptions.

The Steelers have struggled on offense despite having stars such as running back Le’Veon Bell and the league’s top receiver in Antonio Brown, who already has three games with 100 or more yards receiving. A big key in Sunday’s game will be Brown’s matchup against Marcus Peters the top cornerback for the Chiefs.

Pittsburgh’s pass defense is the best in the NFL, but the defense against the rush is nearly the opposite at No. 28.

Kansas City quarterback Alex Smith has a number of offensive weapons at his disposal. Rookie Kareem Hunt is leading the NFL in rushing with 609 yards as well as yards from scrimmage with 775. Tyreek Hill is a depth threat at receiver.

Defensively, the Chiefs have not played as well as in previous seasons ranking No. 27 in total defense.

Pittsburgh is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games versus opponents with a record above .500.

Kansas City is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games against opponents from the AFC.

With this free pick, we like Pittsburgh to cover.

Patriots vs Jets Free Pick

Tom Brad and Patriots are 9.5-Point Chalk on SundayWeek 6 of the NFL regular season features an AFC East showdown when the New England Patriots visit the New York Jets. The current line on top sportsbooks has New England favored by 9.5 points with the over/under point total on 47.5.

Entering this game, New England on the season is 3-2 straight up and 2-3 against the spread. On the road, the Patriots are 2-0 SU and ATS. New York on the season is 3-2 SU and ATS. At home, the Jets are 2-0 SU and ATS.

The winner of this game will take over first place in the division which is quite surprising as the Patriots were predicted to run away with the AFC East title and the Jets were expected to win very few games the entire season.

However, New York has won three straight and holds a share of the division lead. The Jets defeated Cleveland 17-14 last weekend have allowed just a combined 40 points during the three-game winning streak.

New England is No. 1 in the NFL in total offense at 419.4 yards per game. However, on the flip side the Patriots defense is allowing 447.1 yards per game, which is the worst in the NFL.

Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady injured his non-throwing shoulder during the Patriots 19-14 win over Tampa Bay last week but has said he will play Sunday. New England has won 10 of the last 12 games against the Jets during the regular season.

Brady is leading the NFL in passing yards with 1,702 but has also suffered 16 sacks, which is one more than the entire season in 2016.

Brady has thrown for 300 or more yards in each of the team’s first five games and has thrown just one interception. His favorite targets are Brandin Cooks, Chris Hogan and Danny Amendola, as tight end Rob Gronkowski battles a thigh injury.

New York averages just over 300 yards of offense per game and has given up 14 more points than it scored over the first five games. Josh McCown has played well at quarterback thus far, but his two top rushers could miss the game due to injury.

New England is 10-1 ATS in its last 11 games on the road.

New York is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games at home versus opponents with a record above .500.

With this free pick, we like New England to cover.

Eagles vs Panthers Free Pick

Cam Newton returning to 2015 formWeek 6 of the NFL regular season kicks off with Thursday Night Football when the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Carolina Panthers in an NFC showdown. The current line on top sportsbooks has Carolina favored by 3.5 points with the over/under point total on 46.

Entering this game, Philadelphia on the season is 4-1 straight up and 3-2 against the spread. On the road, the Eagles are 2-1 SU and ATS. Carolina on the season is 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS. At home, the Panthers are 1-1 SU and 0-2 ATS.

Both teams come into this game riding winnings streak in what should be a competitive Thursday night in the NFL. Philadelphia dominated Arizona last week in a 34-7 victory, while Carolina beat Detroit 27-24 on the road.

Philadelphia is riding a three-game winning streak, winning the first two in the streak by margins of just 3 points and 2 points before routing the Cardinals by 27 points. Quarterback Carson Wentz tossed three first quarter touchdowns including a bomb of 59 yards to Torrey Smith against Arizona.

Wentz finished the game with 304 yards passing, four touchdowns passes and 1 interception. LeGarrette Blount leads the Eagles rushing attack with 344 yards on the season, even though he has played in just 4 of 5 games.

The Panthers have won two straight entering this game. Carolina quarterback Cam Newton started his season slow during the team’s first three games. However, for the past two games, Newton looks like he did in 2015 as he threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns in Week 4 versus New England and followed that up in Week 5 against a tougher defense by throwing for 355 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Lions.

Newton has strong targets in wide receivers Devin Fuchess and Kelvin Benjamin, while rookie running back Christian McCaffrey scored his first receiving touchdown of his career and is becoming more and more involved in the offense. McCaffrey only has 96 yards rushing, but has 237 yards receiving.

Both teams are 4-1 and lead their respective divisions but the Panthers have played the tougher schedule thus far and have a better overall defense than do the Eagles.

Philadelphia is 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games on the road.

Carolina is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games played at home.

With this free pick, we like Carolina to cover.

Vikings vs Bears Free Pick

Vikings visit Bears as 3.5-point chalk on MNFWeek 5 of the NFL regular season concludes with Monday Night Football when the Minnesota Vikings visit the Chicago Bears in an NFC North clash. The current line on top sportsbooks has Minnesota favored by 3.5 points with the over/under point total on 40.5.

Entering this game, Minnesota on the season is 2-2 straight up and against the spread. On the road, the Vikings are 0-1 SU and ATS. Chicago on the season is 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS. At home, the Bears are 1-1 SU and 2-2 ATS.

Chicago has changed its quarterback, while Minnesota hopes to do the same Monday when these two rivals meet at famed Soldier Field. Mitchell Trubisky the No. 2 pick overall in the 2017 NFL draft will debut in the NFL at quarterback for the Bears.

The Vikings hope that starting quarterback Sam Bradford can return from a knee injury he suffered in the team’s season opener.

Trubisky said he was excited and ready to lead the Bears offense. He will have a difficult first game against a very aggressive Minnesota defense that recorded six sacks against Detroit’s Matthew Stafford in the Vikings 14-7 loss last Sunday to the Lions.

Minnesota was hit with a big blow last week when rookie running back Dalvin Cook torn his ACL. Against Detroit, quarterback Case Keenum threw for just 219 yards for the Vikings. Bradford practiced on a limited basis, but coaches said if he was ready he would get the starting nod.

Latavius Murray is now the top running back for Minnesota following Cook’s season ending injury. The former Oakland Raiders rusher said his ankle is still not 100% following surgery during the offseason. Vikings wide receiver Michael Floyd returns from a four-game suspension.

Bears running back Jordan Howard continues to run the ball often for the Bears and entering this week was No. 4 amongst rookies in yards from scrimmage with 331. He also leads all running backs in the league in receptions with 24.

On January 1, the Vikings beat the Bears 38-10 in the final game of the 2016 regular season.

Minnesota is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games versus opponents from the NFC North.

Chicago is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games versus opponents from the NFC.

With this free pick, we like Minnesota to cover.

Chiefs vs Texans Free Pick

Week 5 ends its Sunday schedule with a Sunday Night Football showdown between the visiting Kansas City Chiefs and the host Houston Texans. The current line on top sportsbooks has the game as a PICK, with the over/under point total sitting on 45.

Entering this game, Kansas City is 4-0 straight up and against the spread. On the road, the Chiefs are 2-0 SU and ATS. Houston on the season is 2-2 SU and 3-1 ATS. At home, the Texans are 1-1 SU and ATS.

Kansas City enters this game as the only unbeaten team in the NFL after four weeks but will have a stiff test against Houston and the Texans’ rookie sensation at quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The Chiefs will be coming in off a late game field that beat the Washington Redskins Monday night. Kansas City has its own flashy rookie in running back Kareem Bell who leads the NFL in rushing with 502 yards and has 659 yards from scrimmage.

Houston has been a different team since Watson took over at quarterback. The rookie out of Clemson either passed or rushed for five touchdowns in Houston’s 57-14 rout of Tennessee. But All-Pro defensive end J.J. Watt has cautioned his Texans’ teammates not to get carried away over the win last week.

Kansas City quarterback Alex Smith is playing superb under center. Smith knows how tough it can be playing on the road and knows limiting turnovers is the key to his team’s success. He leads the NFL in passer rating at 124 and completion percentage at 76%.

Watson passed for 283 yards and four TDs last week while rushing for another. DeAndre Hopkins with 31 receptions is Watson’s favorite target, but Will Fuller another wide receiver caught two touchdowns passes last week against the Titans.

Kansas City’s Hunt can become just the second rookie in NFL history with 100 yards from scrimmage or more in each of his first five NFL games.

Houston’s Watson is the only rookie quarterback in NFL history to throw seven or more touchdowns passes and rush for two more in his first four games of his rookie season.

Houston beat Kansas City last season 19-12, but Kansas City had won three straight against Houston prior to that loss.

Kansas City is 13-3 ATS in its last 16 games on the road.

Houston is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games after a win straight up.

With this free pick, we like Houston to win.

Packers vs Cowboys Free Pick

Dallas needs Ezekiel Elliott to come up big on Sunday to cover against Green BayWeek 5 of the NFL regular season is highlighted with an NFC Showdown between two playoffs teams from last season when the Green Bay Packers visit the Dallas Cowboys. The current line on top sportsbooks has Dallas favored by 2.5 points with the over/under point total on 52.5.

Entering the game, Green Bay on the season is 3-1 straight up and 2-2 against the spread. On the road, the Packers are 0-1 SU and ATS. Dallas on the season is 2-2 SU and ATS. At home, the Cowboys are 1-1 SU and ATS.

Last season in mid-October the Cowboys dominated the Packers, but that loss was avenged by Green Bay in the playoffs during January. Dallas wants to avenge that postseason loss, its second to Green Bay in the last three years, when the two meet on Sunday.

Dallas must also forget the recent past, which includes squandering a lead of 11 points last week in a loss at home of 35-30 to the Los Angeles Rams.

Green Bay comes in with injuries to key players. Although the Packers have had 10 days to rest following their 35-14 rout of Chicago on a Thursday, the injuries still plague the team.

Running back Ty Montgomery broke his ribs while his replacement Jamaal Williams hurt his knee. Wide receiver Davante Adams was also knocked out of the game against Chicago with a concussion. Montgomery practiced this week wearing chest protection, but Adams remains in concussion protocol.

Aaron Rodgers threw for four touchdowns versus the Bears and his favorite target Jordy Nelson has caught five touchdowns in the three games he has played.

Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott was the leading rusher in the NFL last season, but his output on the ground has dropped in his second season and Dallas is only averaging 114 yards per game rushing as compared to 149.7 yards per game on the ground last season.

Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott has eight touchdown passes and three interceptions. Wide receiver Dez Bryant caught 5 passes last week for 98 yards.

Defensively, Dallas is No. 20 against the pass, but Demarcus Lawrence has 7.5 sacks already after 4 games.

Elliott gained 282 yards on the ground in two games last season against Green Bay.

Rodgers has 300 yards or more passing in five of his past six road games for Green Bay.

Green Bay is 6-2 ATS in its last 8 games versus NFC opponents.

Dallas is 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games versus NFC opponents.

With this free pick, we like Dallas to cover.

Bills vs Bengals Free Pick

Bengals QB Andy Dalton Looks looks to roll up points against BillsWeek 5 of the NFL regular season continues on Sunday when the Buffalo Bills visit the Cincinnati Bengals in an AFC showdown. The current line on top sportsbooks has Cincinnati favored by 3 points with the over/under point total on 39.5.

Entering this game, Buffalo on the season is 3-1 straight up and 4-0 against the spread. On the road, the Bills are 1-1 SU and 2-0 ATS. Cincinnati on the season is 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS. At home, the Bengals are 0-2 SU and ATS.

Buffalo is one of the NFL biggest surprises to start the season and looks to keep its strong play when its visits Cincinnati Sunday in an early afternoon showdown. The Bills will look for their third consecutive win to keep them atop the AFC East ahead of New England and the New York Jets.

While Buffalo has surprised nearly everyone with its 3-1 start, Cincinnati has been a huge disappointment starting at 1-3. However, opponents know the Bengals have a good team and it is just a matter of time before they are able to put things together.

During Week 3, the Bengals lost in overtime to Green Bay 27-24, but played much better on offense than during the first two weeks of the season.

Last week, Cincinnati routed Cleveland 31-7 as quarterback Andy Dalton, running back Giovani Benard and wide receiver A.J. Green proved how strong the Bengals offense can be.

Buffalo’s defense is one of the best in the NFL against the score, and its secondary is a big reason having intercepted six passes while allowing only one touchdown through the air.

Offensively, the Bills have not impressed, but starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor has played steady with five passes for touchdowns and only one interception.

Bengals signal caller Dalton completed 25 of his 30 passes last week versus the Browns for 286 yards with four touchdowns.

The Bengals defense has performed well ranking No. 3 in defense against the score and total defense.

Buffalo kicker Stephen Hauschka has kicked three goals of 55 or more yards this season. That ties him for second most in the history of the NFL behind just Matt Prater of Detroit who has hit four kicks of that length this season.

Buffalo is 4-0 ATS in its last 4 games played.

Cincinnati is 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games played at home.

With this free pick, we like Cincinnati to cover.
