Golden State’s 22-point win on Thursday night in Game 1 sent a big message to Cleveland. Forward Kevin Durant and point guard Stephen Curry were the offensive catalysts for the Warriors.

The current line on top sportsbooks has Golden State favored by 7 points with the over/under point total on 225.5.

Thus far in the postseason this year, Golden State is a perfect 12-0 and considered heavy favorites to win the NBA Championship. Nevertheless, the Cavaliers are the defending champions and the Warriors will not have an easy time trying to dethrone them. › Continue reading

The NBA takes center stage Monday when the Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Golden State Warriors in a rematch of the past two NBA Finals. The current line on top sportsbooks has Golden State favored by 7.5 points with the over/under point total on 224.5.

Entering this game, Cleveland has an overall record on the season of 29-10 straight up and 16-20-3 against the spread. On the road, the Cavaliers are 11-7 SU and 6-11-1 ATS. Golden State on the season has a record of 34-6 SU and 16-23-1 ATS. At home, the Warriors are 18-3 SU and 9-12 ATS.

The Cavaliers have played subpar the past few games, but two days to rest and practice over the weekend helped them as they visit the Warriors on Monday night. The last time Cleveland played at Oracle Arena was when they won Game 7 of the NBA Finals last June.

Cleveland rallied from a deficit of 14 points in the fourth quarter to beat Golden State Christmas Day 109-108. The win was the Cavaliers fourth straight over Golden State. However, the Cavaliers enter this sixth and final game of a current road trip having lost two of their past three.  › Continue reading

Cavaliers vs Warriors NBA Finals Game 7 Free Pick

Game 7 of the best of seven NBA Finals will be played on Sunday June 19 at Oracle Arena between the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers and the host Golden State Warriors to determine the NBA Champions.

The current line has Golden State favored on its home court by 5 points with the over/under point total sitting on 206.5. The Cavaliers have won two straight after trailing 3-1 in the series thus reducing the Finals to a winner take all in one game on Sunday.

Even though the series is tied 3-3, it has been made up of lopsided victories. Each of the six games played have ended with margins in the double digits. Each of the games has not had any suspense down the stretch in the fourth quarter, but Sunday’s final will have everyone on the edge of their seats.

Golden State lost just nine games during the 82-game regular season, setting a new record in the process. However, they could lose the NBA Finals with their ninth postseason loss, if they come up short against the Cavaliers on Sunday.    › Continue reading

Game 5 of the NBA Finals best of seven series tips off tonight from Oracle Arena when the Golden State Warriors host the Cleveland Cavaliers. Golden State leads the series 3-1 and can win the NBA championship with a win at home Monday.

The current line has Golden State favored by 5.5 points with the over/under point total sitting on 205. Cleveland has its collective backs squarely against the wall, as it needs to win three straight games to win the NBA title with the first of three on Monday on the road.

Golden State will play Game 5 on Monday without forward Draymond Green who was suspended by the league. He swung at and hit LeBron James in Game 4 and was issued a flagrant foul. Green will not be in Oracle Arena for the game due to his suspension. It was his four flagrant foul during this postseason.

Steve Kerr the Golden State head coach has not yet announced who will play in Green’s place nor did he answer directly when asked if he was disappointed in Green. Kerr said those things stayed amongst the coaches and players and was not something they commented on.    › Continue reading

Game 2 of the NBA Finals will tip off from Oracle Arena in Oakland, California on Sunday when the Golden State Warriors host the Cleveland Cavaliers. The current line has Golden State favored by 6 points with the over/under point total sitting on 208.5.

Golden State won Game 1 of the series on Thursday and looks to take a 2-0 lead with a Game 2 win Sunday. The Warriors led by NBA MVP Stephen Curry and backcourt mate Klay Thompson showed in Game 1 why they set a new regular season win record this season.

The two top shooters for the Warriors combined for only 20 points on their 27 shots, but Golden State was able to come away with the win. Cleveland was pleased with how it played on defense, but needs to pick up his offensive output if they hope to win.

Cleveland’s starting five played well in Game 1, but its bench was outscored 45-10. The second unit for Cleveland that features LeBron James, Channing Frye, Matthew Dellavedova, Iman Shumpert and Richard Jefferson has been very productive this postseason for the Cavaliers.    › Continue reading

Cavaliers vs Warriors NBA Finals Game 1 Free Pick

The NBA Finals have arrived. On Thursday, Game 1 of the best of seven series will tip off from Oracle Arena when the Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Golden State Warriors. The current line has Golden State favored by 5.5 points with the over/under point total sitting on 210.

Golden State believes their record setting regular season win total of 73 will not be complete unless they add a second consecutive NBA title but once again have Cleveland in their way to the title. Stephen Curry the Warriors two-time NBA MVP has fully recovered from his knee injury.

Curry feels he and his teammates are better than last season due to experience and what they have gone through this postseason to reach the finals. Cleveland shooting forward LeBron James said his team is in a good position to win this rematch and was surprised Golden State was so heavily favored.

This is the seventh time James has played in the NBA Finals. Thus far, he is 2-4 in NBA Finals with the two wins coming while playing for the Miami Heat. In last season’s NBA Finals, James did not have Kyrie Irving or Kevin Love as both were out injured.    › Continue reading

Cavaliers vs Warriors NBA Finals Game 5 Free Pick

The NBA Finals return to northern California on Sunday for Game 5 of the best of seven series with the series tied 2-2 between the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers and the host Golden State Warriors. The Warriors tied the series with a 103-82 win in Game 4. The current line has Golden State favored by 8.5 points with the point total on 199.5.

Injuries keep hitting the Cavaliers and the team might have to go even deeper into the bench when they take on the Warriors Sunday night in Oracle Arena. Head coach David Blatt has not played more than 7 or 8 players the first four games of the series, but LeBron James has hinted that the team needs veterans such as Shawn Marion and Mike Miller on the floor.

Golden State has been helped greatly by the play of Andre Iguodala the veteran guard who started Game 4 and scored 22 points while holding LeBron to just 20 points after the superstar averaged 41 points per game over the first three games. Andrew Bogut only played three minutes in Game 3, while David Lee played substantial minutes for the second straight game for Golden State.

LeBron has averaged 35.8 points per game in the series, but his teammates are not doing their share. In Game 4, Iman Shumpert was 2 for 9, J.R. Smith was 2 for 12 and Matthew Dellavedova 3 for 14. Smith missed all eight of his attempts from 3-point territory. Timofey Mozgov the Cleveland center scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Game 4.     › Continue reading
