Kentucky vs. Kansas Free Pick

Kentucky vs. Kansas

Well the Final Four have been reduced to two. Sixty-eight teams entered March Madness with high hopes. All but two have gone home disappointed. Monday night April 2 at the Superdome in New Orleans, one team will go home as the National Champion and one will go home wondering what could have been.

The Kentucky Wildcats meet the Kansas Jayhawks to determine the 2011/12 National Collegiate Basketball Champion. Kentucky is the definite favorite, as they have the thoroughbreds needed to win the championship. Freshmen Anthony Davis was recently named the Player of the Year by the Associated Press.

It will be difficult for Kansas to matchup with all the Kentucky heavyweights who will be off to the NBA much sooner than later. The Kentucky defense is strong and will give the big Kansas front line fits on the inside. In Kentucky’s win over Louisville in the Final Four, they held the Cardinals to only 34% shooting overall and 36% from beyond the arc.

Kentucky was outrebounded in the game but much of that was due to an extra-effort by the Cardinals on the offensive boards. They did not shoot well from the charity strip and those two things cannot persist in the championship game if they want to beat Kansas.

Kansas will go once again to their heart and soul  Thomas Robinson. If Kentucky holds him in check, the title is theirs for the taking. If Robinson can have an extraordinary game and help get Davis in early foul trouble, the Jayhawks could steal the win.

Kansas must use the strength of their defense to win Monday. Jeff Withey played well against Jared Sullinger, but Davis is quicker, more agile and athletic than Sullinger. Kansas had 11 more boards than Ohio State and they must out rebound Kentucky if they hope to take the title home.

Currently the Wildcats are a 6-point favorite with the total sitting at 138. The Wildcats must keep Davis from getting into foul trouble and they need to control the boards. If they do those two things then their athleticism and talent will carry them to a National Championship.

Pick: Kentucky (-6) Total: UNDER

NCAA Florida vs. Kentucky Free Pick

The Kentucky Wildcats visit the Florida Gators in Gainesville March 4 in the last game of their Southeastern Conference schedule. The Wildcats are currently ranked as the number one team in the country with a 29-1 record. The Gators are 22-8 and are headed to the NCAA post season tournament along with the Wildcats.

Kentucky has had an incredible regular season as they have outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points per game. The Wildcats are led by Antonio Davis who averages 14 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. The team has six players averaging in double figures and their assist leader is Marquis Teague.

Gators ATS Cover

The Gators are in second place in the conference and are led in scoring by Kenny Boynton who averages 17.1 per game. Three players are averaging over six rebounds per game while Erving Walker leads the team with 4.7 assists per game.

Head to head the Wildcats are 7-3 SU and 4-5-1 ATS in the last 10 games the two teams have played. In their last meeting in early February, the Wildcats defeated the Gators 78-58 to cover a nine point favorite spread at home.

Kentucky is 5-0 SU in their last five games, all against other SEC foes. Thursday night they defeated the Georgia Bulldogs by 30 points to cover a favorite spread of 18.5 points. The Gators are just 2-2 SU in their last four games.

The Wildcats will want to hold onto the top spot heading into the NCAA tournament. A win will give them that top seed through the tournament with the opportunity to play close to home during March Madness.

Sharp money is on Kentucky SU with a good portion of the money going in the Gators favor ATS. The score will over the OVER bettors in this one. Bet Gators now at WagerWeb

Syracuse vs. Louisville Free Pick

The Big East conference schedule will end this weekend and the tournament will follow. On March 3, the Louisville Cardinals will travel north to take on the Syracuse Orange in the Carrier Dome. Both teams have had successful seasons thus far.

The Cardinals are 22-8 overall and 10-7 in the league and currently are in seventh place in the Big East. Syracuse has only lost once this season. They are currently 29-1 overall and 16-1 in the conference and are the leaders in the conference.

Louisville is 14-12-1 ATS this season and 6-4 ATS while on the road. Their offense is averaging 70 points per game while they only give up just over 62 each game. Three Louisville players have been lost for the season all due to knee injuries. Those three are Mike Marra, Rakeem Buckles and Stephan Van Treese.

Syracuse is ranked second in the nation with their impressive record. They are 15-14 ATS and 9-10 ATS at home. Their offense is scoring nearly 76 points per game, while the defense only allows 60.5 giving the team a comfortable margin of 15 points. Syracuse as this time has no injuries.

In head-to-head matchups, Louisville has been dominant. The Cardinals are 7-2 SU and 7-1-1 ATS in the last nine games the two schools have played against one another. The total has been OVER in 4 of those 9 games. In their last meeting, on February 13 Syracuse beat Louisville 52-51, paying out nicely to those taking the UNDER.

Louisville has struggled a bit of late, as they are just 2-3 SU in their last five games and lost on Wednesday night to South Florida. Syracuse is 5-0 SU in their last five games and has only lost this season to conference rival Notre Dame.

A tightly contested game will be played out with both clubs fighting for the win to maintain a chance for high seeds come tournament time. Syracuse looks good SU and ATS, while the total should pay out to those taking the UNDER. Bet baketball now at our top sportsbooks.

Duke vs. UNC Free Pick

Duke Basketball

All bragging rights will be on the line March 3 in Cameron Indoor Stadium when the North Carolina Tar Heels travel a few miles to take on the Duke Blue Devils in Durham, North Carolina. Both teams have identical records this season. Both teams are 26-4 overall and 13-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. On paper, there is not a more evenly matched game.

The Tar Heels are 16-13 ATS this season and 5-5 ATS on the road. They are averaging 16 more points per game than their defense is allowing. Duke is 13-17ATS this season and just 7-13 ATS at home. Their offense is scoring 10 points more than their defense gives up each game.

The trends also point to an evenly matched game. The Heels are 5-0 SU in their last five road games and 4-2 SU in the their last six games playing at Duke. The total has been UNDER 6 out of the last 9 times the two teams have played at Duke.

Duke also is 5-0 SU in their last five games, but just 1-7 ATS in their last eight games at Cameron. Duke has held a distinct advantage over North Carolina in the last six games the two have played head to head. The Blue Devils are 5-1 SU in those six games. The total has been UNDER in 7 of the last 10 games played head to head.

The game will determine the winner of the ACC and who is given the higher seed not only in the ACC postseason tournament but also in the NCAA tournament that follows.

The last meeting between the two saw Austin Rivers sink a three pointer at the buzzer to cap a rally by Duke. The game was high scoring with the final ending 85-84. Rivers finished that game with 29 points, outscoring the Tar Heels’ Tyler Zeller who scored 23 and took down 11 rebounds.

The game should be tactical and low scoring. A bet for UNDER is where sharp money is being placed. The Blue Devils should take the game SU with the help of their home fans. Bet Duke +1.5 at one of  our top sportsbooks.

Kentucky vs. Georgia Free Pick

Kentucky Hoops

The Southeastern Conference schedule is coming to an end along with the regular season. March madness is just around the corner and Kentucky will look to keep their number one ranking in the nation in tact when they host the Georgia Bulldogs March 1 at Rupp Arena. The Wildcats are 28-1 on the season and if they win their remaining two regular season games and the SEC tournament, they are sure to get the number one seed in the NCAA tournament.

The Wildcats are just 11-17 ATS this season partly due to the large point spreads they play against each game. The team is so dominating that odds makers must make the spread nearly always in double figures. The Bulldogs are just 13-15 overall this season and are playing for nothing more than team and school pride.

Off late the Bulldogs have not fared well as they are just 1-6 SU in their last seven games. When they play away against the Wildcats, the Bulldogs are just 4-15 SU over the last 19 games the two have played at Rupp Arena.

The Wildcats on the other hand have fared much better. They are 5-0 SU in their last five games. Kentucky has not lost in their last 20 games and has just this game against Georgia and one more against Florida to end their regular season. Anthony Davis continues his dominant play with a 14.3 points per game average and nearly 10 rebounds per game.

In the last meeting between the two schools, Kentucky won by 13 points 57-44. The Bulldogs will try to slow the ball down and take time off the clock with their possessions in order to give Kentucky fewer looks at the basket. The Wildcats however, will prevail SU but the Bulldogs look like a good bet ATS.

Oklahoma State vs. Kansas Free Pick

Kansas Hoops

The Kansas Jayhawks will try to keep up their winning ways and stay on top of the Big 12 conference whenthey travel to Oklahoma to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Jayhawks are currently in first place in the conference by two games while the Cowboys are well down the line in seventh place.

Kansas has an overall record of 24-5 and is coming off an overtime victory against second place Missouri 87-86. Thomas Robinson leads the Jayhawks with a scoring average of 17.8 per game and in rebounds with 11.9 per game. Tyshawn Taylor is scoring at a 16.7 clip per game and leads the team in assists with 5 per game.

Oklahoma State is struggling to stay near the .500 mark. They are currently just 14-15. Three players lead the Cowboys in scoring with Keiton Page leading that trio with a 16.2 points per game average. Leading the team in rebounding is Markel Brown with 5.3 per game. The Cowboys do not have anyone averaging more than 2.2 assists per game.

Kansas is leading the head-to-head battle, as they are 7-3 SU but 4-6 ATS. The total has been OVER 5 times in those same 10 games. Kansas is on a roll, as they are 6-0 SU in their last six games. That included a win against the Cowboys earlier in February 81-66 at home. The Cowboys however are just 2-3 SU in their last five games. They have beaten Texas and Texas A&M during that stretch.

The two teams are vastly different in the quality of players they have. They also play two different styles of basketball. Kansas will be playing on the road but they have fared well with a record of 7-4 SU and 5-5 ATS. The Jayhawks will defeat the Cowboys in this game SU and the total should be UNDER as the Jayhawks defense will shut down the cowboys weak offense.

Georgetown vs. Notre Dame Free Pick

Georgetown Basketball

The Irish are 20-9 overall this season and in third place in the conference. The Irish have a very balanced attack offensively as four players are averaging between 12.4 and 14 points per game. Leading the team in rebounds is Jack Cooley with 9.3 a game. The team’s balanced scoring helps them, as an opponent cannot concentrate on any one player.

The Hoyas are 21-6 overall and just one game behind Notre Dame in the conference in fourth place. Leading the Hoya offense is Jason Clark who averages 14.5 points per game. The Hoyas also have very balanced scoring with two other players in double figures averaging between 11 and 13 points per game.

Notre Dame has played well on the road and is 4-1 SU in their last five road games. However, they are only 1-5 SU in their last six roads games played against Georgetown. Georgetown has played well over its last 24 games, as they are 19-5 SU over that stretch.

Head to head the edge goes to Georgetown, as they are 6-4 SU in the last 10 games the two teams have played. The total has been UNDER 6 times in the same 10 games. Notre Dame took it on the chin Saturday against St. Johns, as they were upset in New York 61-58. That however, was the first loss by the Irish in their last five games.

Georgetown is 3-2 SU over their last five games with losses to Seton Hall and the same St. John’s team that beat the Irish. The scoring for both teams is low with both averaging in the mid 60s per game. The Irish could be hurting from their loss to the Red Storm and two games in three days on the road could affect their play. Look for the Hoyas to take this game SU. Baylor vs. Texas Tech Free Pick

Baylor -19.5

The struggling Texas Tech Raiders visit Ferrell Center to take on the Baylor Bears in a Big 12 matchup. The Raiders are dead last in the conference with a 1-15 conference record and an 8-20 overall record. At this point in time, the team is playing for pride and nothing else. The Bears on the other hand, are 24-5 overall and in third place in the conference.

The Raiders have only one player scoring in double figures and Jordan Tolbert is that player yet he is only averaging 11.2 points per game. He also leads the team in rebounding with a 5.7 per game average. The team as a whole is only averaging 60 points per game. Their offense has struggled the entire season.

Baylor, ranked 14th in the nation, has four players scoring in double figures with Perry Jones III leading the pack with 13.3 per game. The other three average more than 12 per game. The teams leading rebounder is also Jones III who is averaging 7.3 per game. Baylor is averaging 75 points per game or 15 more per game than Tech.

Head to head the Bears are 7-3 SU against the Raiders in the last 10 games the two have played. The total has been OVER in 7 of those same 10 games. Tech is only 1-4 SU in their last five games and lost Saturday to Texas 71-67. The Bears are 3-2 SU in their last five games and that includes a 10-point victory over Oklahoma Saturday.

With the way the Bears are playing, the game should be lopsided on the Bears court. The outcome should be both a win SU and a win ATS for Baylor. The total has been over the majority of the times the two have played and this game should be no different. Bet baketball now at our top sportsbooks. Ohio State vs. Wisconsin

Badgers ATS Pick

As conference play winds down and the regular season comes to a close, many teams are jockeying for position in their respective conferences. A big Big Ten showdown takes place February 26 when the Wisconsin Badgers visit the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Badgers are in fourth place in the Big Ten and 20-8 overall. The Buckeyes are currently tied for second in the conference with an overall record of 23-5.

Jordan Taylor leads Wisconsin offensively. Taylor leads the team in scoring with 14.1 points per game. Two other players, Ryan Evans and Jared Berggren are averaging over 10 points per game to help Taylor. The leading rebounder on the team is Evans with a 6.9 per game average.

Ohio State’s Jarid Sullinger leads the team in scoring and rebounding. He is scoring 17.2 points per game, while hauling down 9 rebounds per game. Leading the team in assists with a 4.6 per game average is Aaron Craft.

Playing head to head Ohio State holds an advantage. They are 6-4 SU and ATS in the last 10 meetings between the two teams. The total has been UNDER in 8 of the last 10 games the two teams have played against one another.

In difficult conference play, the Badgers are only 2-3 SU over their last five games. Their only wins have been against Penn State and Minnesota. The Buckeyes are playing better as they are 3-2 SU in their last five games. However, they have lost to both Michigan and Michigan State during that stretch to fall out of first place in the conference.

This game should be close and down to the wire. The Buckeyes however will have the advantage by playing on their home court and should prevail SU. Look for the Badgers to cover however. Bet Now at Bet Revolution or WagerWeb.

Louisville vs. Pitt Free Pick

The Pittsburgh Panthers visit KFC Yum! Center to take on the Louisville Cardinals in a Big East matchup February 26. The two clubs are not playing the ball the two universities and their fans have been accustomed to over the last years. The Panthers are 15-13 overall and in 12th place in the Big East. Louisville who has been a perennial powerhouse is 21-7 overall but in just seventh place in the conference.

Ashton Gibbs who averages 15.8 points a game leads Pittsburgh offensively. Tray Woodall chips in 12.2 per game and leads the team in assists with 6.4 per game. The team’s leading rebounder is Nasir Robinson who is averaging 6.6 per game.

Louisville pick

Kyle Kuric who averages 12.9 points per game leads Louisville. Teammate Russ Smith is averaging 12 point per game to help the team. Leading the team in rebounding is Gorgui Dieng who is averaging 9.3 per game. He also scores 10 points a game.

Pittsburgh is 6-4 ATS while playing on the road this season while Louisville is 8-6-1 ATS when playing at home. However, on the road the Panthers are just 1-6 SU in the last seven games they have played. Louisville on the other hand is 15-3 SU over the last 18 games they have played on their home court.

Head to head the two are completely even as each has won 5 games SU over the last 10 games the two have played against each other.  However, Pittsburgh has not fared well of late. They are 1-4 SU in their last five games with the only win coming against a weal Villanova club.

Louisville has overcome injuries this season. They lost three players for the year due to knee injuries but are 3-2 SU over their last five games. Their only to losses in that stretch have been to Cincinnati and Syracuse.

Even though this matchup has been tightly contested of late, the Cardinals are playing much better basketball at this point in the season. They are also playing very good at home and should easily defeat the Panthers SU. Bet this pick now at JustBet. For Sportsbooks Reviews
