Mack sacks SiemianSunday late afternoon of Week 4 features an AFC West showdown when the Oakland Raiders visit the Denver Broncos. The current line on top sportsbooks has Denver favored by 3 points with the over/under point total on 46.

Entering this game, Oakland on the season is 2-1 straight up and against the spread. On the road, the Raiders are 1-1 SU and ATS. Denver on the season is 2-1 SU and 1-1-1 ATS. At home, the Broncos are 2-0 SU and 1-0-1 ATS.

Last year in the season finale, the Raiders, without Derek Carr their star quarterback, were beaten by Denver 24-6, which denied them the title in the AFC West. Carr will be healthy for this game, but played poorly last week in a loss to Washington.

Carr versus the Redskins threw for only 118 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. The Raiders lost 27-10. Denver lost its first game last week when they were beaten on the road at Buffalo 26-16.

Running back C.J. Anderson gained just 36 yards, with 32 yards from one run. Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian has already been sacked 9 times, and must contend with Oakland’s Khalil Mack the reigning AFC Defensive Player of the Year.

Carr must try to avoid Broncos linebacker Von Miller who leads the NFL in sacks since the beginning of the 2011 regular season with 76.5.

However, Oakland’s Mack has 28 sacks since the start of the 2015 NFL season, which lead the NFL. He has sacked Denver quarterbacks seven times in his career sack total of 32. Raiders’ wide receiver Michael Crabtree practiced on a limited basis during the week due to an injury to his chest suffered in last week’s loss to Washington.

Despite a poor effort last week against Buffalo, Denver’s Anderson is No. 5 in rushing in the NFL with 235 yards. Jamaal Charles formerly with the Kansas City has rushed for 962 yards in 12 career games versus Oakland, and will complement the running of Anderson.

Oakland cornerback Gareon Conley was limited in his practice this week with a shin injury.

Denver’s defense against the rush is No. 1 in the NFL allowing just 59.6 yards per game.

Oakland is 8-3 ATS in its last 11 games versus AFC opponents.

Denver is 2-6-1 ATS in its last 9 games versus opponents from the AFC West.

With this free pick, we like Oakland to cover.
