Sunday Night Football ends the second Sunday of the NFL regular season when the Green Bay Packers visit the Atlanta Falcons. The current line on top sportsbooks has Atlanta favored by 3 points with the over/under point total on 55.5.

Entering this game, Green Bay is 1-0 straight up and against the spread, while Atlanta is 1-0 SU and 0-1 ATS. This will be Green Bay’s first road game and Atlanta’s first at home.

Green Bay lost in the NFC Championship to Atlanta the last time it played in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. However, the Packers have a chance at revenge, but with the stakes far lower in this Week 2 matchup.

The Packers opened their season with a hard fought 17-9 win over the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field, while Atlanta opened with a 23-17 victory over the Chicago Bears, but did not cover as 9-point chalk.

Aaron Rodgers passed for 311 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 1 against Seattle’s tough defense. In seven games against Atlanta, Rodgers has a 117.0 passer rating.

Ty Montgomery rushed for one touchdown and accumulated 93 total yards, while Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb combined for 16 receptions and one touchdown for the Packers against the Seahawks.

Two offensive linemen for the Packers might miss Sunday’s game due to injury and illness, which could cause problems protecting Rodgers and opening holes for the running game.

Matt Ryan threw an 88-yard touchdown pass to Austin Hooper his tight end late in the Falcons win over the Bears, and ended the game with 321 yards through the air.

Ryan’s numbers have been huge against the Packers the past three games with 1,055 yards passing, 11 touchdown passes and just one interception. Last season Julio Jones, who caught four passes last week, had 180 receiving yards against the Packers and 259 yards against them in 2014.

Rodgers needs just two more touchdown passes to reach 300 for his career and join 10 others who have done the same.

Atlanta linebacker Vic Beasley sacked the quarterback once last week and has 16.5 since the beginning of last season, which leads the league.

Green Bay is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games versus NFC opponents.

Atlanta is 6-2 ATS in its last 8 games versus NFC opponents.

With this free pick, we like Green Bay to cover.
