Warriors vs Spurs Free Pick

Game 3 of the NBA Western Conference finals best of seven series tips off from the AT&T Center in San Antonio Saturday night when the San Antonio Spurs host the Golden State Warriors. Golden State leads the series 2-0.

The current line on top sportsbooks has Golden State favored by 6 points with the over/under point total sitting on 212.5.

Golden State is 10-0 during the postseason after beating the Spurs in Games 1 and 2 at home. The Spurs have had a couple of days to heal some injuries and try to forget about their 36-point loss in Game 2.

In Game 1, Kawhi Leonard San Antonio’s star forward injured his ankle and the team hopes he is able to return to play in Game 3, although Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said his team needs to believe and in Game 2 he says his team did not believe.

Golden State is at the top of its game shooting 56% from the field during Game 2 and holding San Antonio to 37% shooting.

Golden State teammates Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry were each named to the All-NBA second team this week, while teammate Draymond Green was selected to the third-team. Klay Thompson was not selected for one of the All-NBA teams much to the chagrin of Green.

San Antonio’s Leonard was name to the All-NBA first team and is the only player of the two teams in the series to receive that honor. However, his injured ankle has kept from two of the past three postseason games his status for Saturday’s game is still unknown.

Spurs power forward LaMarcus Aldridge scored just 8 points in Game 2 and will need to step up his game if Leonard cannot play or plays limited minutes. Popovich said Aldridge needs to score and cannot be timid or turn down shots.

Golden State’s Andre Iguodala missed Game 2 with a knee injury and is listed for Game 3 as questionable.

Spurs guard Jonathan Simmons started Game 2 in place of the injured Leonard and led the Spurs in scoring with 22 points.

Golden State is 9-0 against the spread in its past 9 games on the road.

San Antonio is 1-4 ATS in is past 5 games versus teams from the Pacific division.

With this free pick, we like Golden State to cover.
