Oregon vs Washington Free Pick

February 13, 2013

One is one the way up, while the other is reeling and in a free fall. Tonight two Pac-12 rivals meet in Washington when the Oregon Ducks visit the Washington Huskies. The Ducks are 19-5 straight up and 9-13 against the spread. Washington has lost two straight games and fallen to 13-11 straight up and 13-9 against the spread.

Oregon, ranked No. 23 in the nation, will try to avoid their fourth straight loss on the road when they meet the Huskies. Oregon was trailing Utah at the half and nearing their fourth consecutive loss on Saturday when they scored 51 points in the second half to pull out a 73-64 win.

Oregon is currently tied for first in the conference with both UCLA and No. 9 ranked Arizona. Tonight they hope to defeat the Huskies for the second time this season. On January 26, the Ducks beat Washington at home 81-76.

Washington comes into the game with a record of 5-6 in the conference and overall has lost six of their past seven games, but has won three straight and 11 of their past 12 against Oregon at home.

C.J. Wilcox will be key for Washington. The guard is fourth in scoring in the Pac-12 averaging 17.7 points a game and has scored an average of 20.5 points  per game in the past two home games against Oregon, but he has had a stress fracture of the foot he has played through. However, his scoring has fallen off to 11.6 points a game since his injury.

Washington had a winning streak of four games at home against ranked teams broken on January 31 against Arizona, when the Wildcats beat them 57-53.
