Titans vs Jets Monday Night Football

statsIn what may be one of the least appealing MNF games in a while, the NY Jets travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans. The Jets are 6-7 and have an outside shot at the playoffs whereas the Titans are 4-9 and are out of playoff contention.

Against the spread the Jets have fared better at 7-6 and the Titans ATS record matches their SU mark of 4-9.  Both QB’s have struggled this year. Tennessee’s Jake Locker has been injured and when in the lineup his numbers are not pretty. Sanchez is average at best this year and the screams for his backups to play have been heard clear across the country.  You can pretty much count on Head Coach Rex Ryan being fired this season if the Jets lose this game.

The line is Tennessee -1 and the total sits at 41.5 points.  The public is split on the betting with about half going in both directions. 60% of folks are on the UNDER. But we like the OVER 41.5 to hit and think there may be some fireworks in this one. Both teams should be playing inspired football and pulling out all stops.  The Titans have allowed the most passing yards in the league at 251 yards per game. So expect the air attack to be heavy from the Jets side. Puns not intended.
