Kansas State vs TCU Free Pick

In a great matchup of high scoring offenses, the Texas Christian Horned Frogs host the Kansas State Wildcats. The Wildcats this season have an overall record of 9-0 SU and they are 7-1-1 ATS. Texas Christian or TCU as they are widely known is 6-3 SU and has a 4-5 ATS spread.

KSU defeated the Oklahoma State Cowboys last week 44-30. The win was KSU’s third straight defeat of a top 25 team. With the win, the Wildcats moves to the no. 2 spot in the BCS rankings. If KSU can win all of their remaining games, they most likely will be playing for the national championship in the BCS Championship game. Nevertheless, they must get by TCU today and then worry about their next opponent.

The Horned Frogs were forced to double overtime last week but defeated West Virginia. The win snapped a TCU two game losing skid. However, TCU players and fans have been disappointed this season, as they have grown accustomed to double digit victories. In the last four consecutive seasons, the Horned Frogs have won at least 10 games each year.

Key for the Horned Frogs in this game is stopping Collin Klein, the quarterback for KSU. Klein is currently the leading candidate for the Heisman Trophy and has a completion percentage this season of 71%. He is one of college football’s best dual threats. He has thrown for 12 touchdowns and run for 17.

TCU has a good record this season against the run. The Horned Frogs are ranked in the top 10 in the nation allowing just 85 yards each game on the ground. Offensively TCU is averaging 33 points each game and over 425 yards per game on offense.

Today’s line has Kansas State favored by 6 ½ with the total at 57 ½. The Wildcats will roll of the TCU defense and Klein will have a field day. Take KSU less the points.
