Dodgers vs Mariners Free Pick June 10, 2012

June 10, 2012

Out west, the Los Angeles Dodgers face the Seattle Mariners in the third and final game of their interleague series. They lost the first game when six Mariner pitchers combined for a no-hitter on Friday night but Los Angeles came back to win the second game of the series and can win the series with another win on the road this afternoon.

The Dodgers have won 6 of 9 games on their current road trip that ends with this game and are 38-22 on the season, the best record in all of baseball. Their offensive power showed on Saturday, as they had 14 hits in their 8-3 win. Seattle is now just 27-34 on the season and will look to win tonight to take the series 2-1 against the league’s best team.

Chad Billingsley will go for the Dodgers today. Billingsley is 3-4 on the season with an ERA of 3.80 and in his last outing had one of his best starts thus far this season. At Philadelphia, the Dodgers won 2-1 as he gave up just a run on six hits over seven innings.

The Mariners are losers of five of their last six games at home and will look to Blake Beavan to help them win tonight. Beavan is 3-5 on the season with an ERA of 5.22 but is coming off what might be his worst performance in the two years he has pitched in the majors. He allowed 10 hits and six runs, including three home runs in just five innings against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. At home this season his ERA is 3.91, in four starts, which is much better than his ERA of 6.02 he has on the road.

The current line has the Dodgers favored at -110 and the Mariners at +110. The run total is sitting at 8. Take the Dodgers in this game to win behind Billingsley. The total will cash out to those who take the OVER.
