76ers vs Celtics Free Pick May 26, 2012

May 26, 2012

Tonight the Boston Celtics will host the Philadelphia 76ers in game seven of their best of seven semifinal series in the eastern conference. The winner will travel to Miami to take on the Heat in the eastern conference finals, while the loser will head home and try to figure how what they need to improve on.

The Sixers won on Wednesday night 82-75 to push the series to its seventh and final game today in Boston. If Philly has one advantage in this deciding game, it is their stamina. Only one player, Elton Brand, on the Sixers is over 30 years of age and he is just 30. Players like Jrue Holiday, Andre Igoulala and Evan Turner are young and should be still fresh.

The Celtics may be a different story. Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett are all in their mid-thirties and not far from hanging up their sneakers. All three have had their share of injuries this season and when healthy, they have had to play extra minutes to cover for other injured players.

Boston however, will have the support of their home court fans and their on-court general, Rajon Rondo will help direct them. He had an off night for him in game six but should be ready to lead the Celtics to a game seven win.

Look for Philly to light up the basket with outside shots from Turner and Holiday and look for Igoulala and Brand to get help offensively inside from Stephen Hawes.

The line opened with the Celtics as a 5 ½-point favorites at home and has stayed there. The total is sitting comfortably at just 170. Offensive for much of this series has been just an afterthought. Smart money takes the Celtics to win game seven and head to Miami with Philly heading home. The UNDER will cash out as well.
