Bulls vs 76ers Free Pick May 6, 2012

The loss of Derrick Rose has started to show. The Chicago Bulls have lost two straight to the Philadelphia 76ers in their quarterfinal series and now trail 2 games to 1. Game four of the series will be played on Sunday May 6 in Philly. The Bulls also were hit with another injury when Joakim Noah crashed to the floor clutching his ankle in game three. It is not known if Noah will be able to play or not in game four or beyond.

The 76ers won the game two on grit, determination and tough defense. Big man Spencer Hawes helped in the team’s fourth quarter comeback. The Bulls had a 14-point lead, but Philly clawed back to win 79-74.

The Sixers now know they can beat the Bulls and win the series, partly because of their play, but largely due to the injuries, the Bulls have sustained. With Rose out and Noah leaving the locker room after the game on crutches, things do not look positive for the Bulls.

Hawes ended the night with 21 points and 9 rebounds. His ten points in the fourth quarter helped the team put the Bulls on the edge of losing the series. The Bulls were leading early in the fourth quarter by 12 points, but could not finish off the 76eers.

The 76ers were also helped by Jrue Holiday who had 17 points and Lou Williams who had 14. The Bulls’ high scorer was Carlos Boozer with 18 and Richard Hamilton pitched in with 17. The Bulls know talent wise they are about even with Philly now and need to come together as a team to overcome the injuries and try to move on to the next round and allow Noah to let his ankle get better.

The line has the 76ers as a 2-point favorite at home with the total at 178. Take the Bulls plus the two in this game with the total ending UNDER.
