Celts Meet the Heat in Miami

The Boston Celtics currently are the top team in the Atlantic division and the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. On April 10, the Celtics will visit the American Airlines Arena to take on the Miami Heat. Boston has played well of late thanks to their veteran players stepping up. The Celtics overall record is 32-24. Boston has won two straight and is 7-3 SU over their last ten. Boston holds a three game lead over both the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers in the Atlantic division.

Miami has played well all season and own the league’s fourth best overall record at 40-15. The Heat is just two games behind Conference leading Chicago in the east. At home, the Heat has a record of 24-3 and they are 30-8 against conference opponents. The Heat is 6-4 SU over their last 10 games played. Dwayne Wade is nursing a sore ankle for the Heat and will be a game time decision as to whether he can play or not.

Miami has the advantage 6-4 SU against Boston in their last ten head to head matchups. The two teams are split 5-5 ATS in those same ten games and the total has been OVER 6 times and UNDER 4 times in that span of games. This season the teams have played twice and each team has won on their home court. In the first week of the season, Miami defeated Boston 115-107 but did not cover a 9 ½-point spread at home. Just over a week ago, the Celtics routed the Heat 91-72 in Boston.

This game should be a defensive battle as the Celtics win games by shutting down their opponent’s offense. They own one of the best defensives in the league. Look for a game where both teams score in the 80s and for the Celtics to win ATS and the total to end UNDER.
