Thunder Look To Return to the Top

For the first time in months, the Oklahoma City Thunder has fallen out of first place in the Western Conference. A 10 game consecutive win streak by the San Antonio Spurs and three consecutive losses by the Thunder have dropped them percentage points behind the Spurs.

On April 9, the Thunder looks to turn things around when they meet the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center. Oklahoma City has an overall record of 40-15. The Thunder is 17-10 on the road and 11-5 against Eastern Conference opponents.

Milwaukee is trying to move up from the ninth spot in the East to one of the eight spots that qualify for the playoff. They currently trail the New York Knicks by just a half a game for eighth place. Milwaukee is 28-28 on the season and has won four straight and 7 of their last 10. At home, the Bucks are 15-12 and against Western Conference opponents, the Bucks have a record of 7-10.

Milwaukee owns a 6-4 SU advantage over Oklahoma City in their head to head matchup. The total in those 10 games has been OVER 6 times and UNDER 4 times. This will be the first time the two teams have played against one another this season. Milwaukee won the last outing against the Thunder in Oklahoma City 110-106 in April of last year.

The Thunder is just 1-3 SU over their last four games. Their only win during that period was last Sunday against the league’s best team Chicago. Since then they have lost at home to Memphis and on the road in Miami and Indiana.

Milwaukee is 4-1 SU over their last five games and that has helped them to get to ninth spot in the race for the playoffs. Their only loss over that stretch was against Memphis at home. The Bucks may not win SU, but they will ATS. The total will be OVER.
