Thunder look to Rebound

April 05, 2012

An inter-conference matchup highlights the NBA schedule April 6 when the Indiana Pacers host the Oklahoma City Thunder. Indiana is fighting for a good seed in the Eastern Conference post season race. The Pacers currently have a record of 33-21 and are in third place in the East. The Pacers have won three consecutive games and 7 of their last 10.

The Thunder has had one of the league’s top three records all season. They lead the Western Conference by one game over the red-hot San Antonio Spurts. The Thunder has a record of 40-14, but has lost two straight, including a loss Wednesday against the Miami Heat. Nevertheless, the Thunder has won seven of their last 10 games. On the road, Oklahoma City is 17-9, while Indiana at home is 17-7.

Neither team has any injuries of note on their rosters. The Thunder leads the head to head series 6-4 SU and ATS over the last ten games. The total has been OVER 8 times and UNDER 2 times in those last 10 games between the two. This will be the first meeting of the season between the two teams with the last meeting on March 2, 2011 going in favor of Oklahoma City 113-89.

Oklahoma City is 3-2 SU in their last five. In that period, they beat the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers two division leading teams. The Pacers are 4-1 SU over their last five games. The only blemish on their record in that stretch was against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Thunder should return from two straight defeats to right the ship and take a road win. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will prove to be too strong for the Pacer defense. Take the Thunder less the points to defeat Indiana SU in Indiana. The total was payout to those who take the OVER.
