Knicks Try to Stay Alive in the East

The New York Knicks continue their drive to the playoffs April 3 when they visit the Indiana Pacers in an NBA matchup. The game is important for both teams as they are both fighting for position in the Eastern Conference race for the playoffs. The Knicks overall record is 27-26 and they are 8-2 SU over their last 10 games played. Their good play has moved them into the eighth and last spot in the playoff race. They currently are 2 ½ games ahead of the ninth place Milwaukee Bucks and just 1 ½ games behind the seventh place Philadelphia 76ers. Indiana’s record is 31-21 and they are 6-4 SU over their last 10 games played. They currently are in fifth place in the playoff race. They trail the fourth place Celtics and are in front of the sixth place Atlanta Hawks. Indiana is very healthy as no one on the roster is listed as being injured. The Knicks have four players out indefinitely, the two most notable being Amare Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin. The head to head matchup between the two teams is 6-4 SU in favor of the Knicks over the past 10 games between the two teams. The games are generally low scoring, as the total has been UNDER 7 times in those 10 games. This will be the third time two teams have played this season. This season thus far, the Knicks are 2-0 SU against the Pacers. New York covered the spread in both games and one game ended OVER and one was UNDER. In their last five games, the Knicks are 4-1 SU, while the Pacers are 3-2 SU over their last five. New York has played very good ball of late under new head coach Mike Woodson. The Knicks will be playing on the Pacers home court but look for New York to take this game and the total to be UNDER.
