Boston vs. Houston NBA Free Pick

March 06, 2012

The Houston Rocket will travel north to take on the Boston Celtics in TD Garden on March 6. Houston is 21-17 SU this season and 20-18 ATS. On the road, the Rockets are 7-10 ATS. Boston struggled prior to the All Star break but has played well since. They are 19-17 and currently in seventh place in the race for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Rondo, fresh off triple double

Kevin Martin who scores a team high 18.2 per game leads Houston’s offense. Samuel Dalembert is leadingthe Rockets in rebounds with 7.5 per game and in blocked shots with 1.9 per game.

Boston’s Paul Pierce leads the team in scoring with an average of 18 per game. Kevin Garnett is their leading rebounder with 8.1 per game. Rajon Rondo is among the league’s leaders in assists with an average of 10.2 per game.

Both teams have one player out indefinitely with an injury, Jermaine O’Neal for Boston and Jordan Hill for Houston. Head to head the two teams are 5-5 SU over the last ten games between the two. Houston is 6-4 ATS in those same 10 games.

Houston has struggled since coming off the All Star break, as they are just 1-3 SU since that time. They only team they have defeated in that stretch is Toronto. They have lost to Utah, Denver and the LA Clippers. Boston has come back from the break on fire. They are 4-0 SU since the break and 5-5 SU in their last 10 games. Their last loss was at Oklahoma City before the All Star game.

Boston’s defense has been spectacular at times this season and they are giving up fewer than 90 points per game. That defense will shut down the Houston offense and result in the Celtics winning SU at home. The total will pay out to those betters going UNDER as both teams are not high scoring and Boston will make sure Houston does not reach their average of 97 points per game. See Our trusted sportsbooks
