Philadelphia 76ers vs. Golden State Warriors Free Pick

March 02, 2012

76ers SU

The Golden State Warriors travel across the country to take on the struggling Philadelphia 76ers March 2. Golden State is just 14-18 this season and in third place in the Pacific division behind the LA Clippers and LA Lakers. The 76ers are currently holding onto first place in the Atlantic division but just barely.

Monta Ellis has been the scoring leader this season for the Warriors. He is averaging 22.2 points per game. David Lee is handling the rebounding for the team with a 9.8 average per game. Stephen Curry the teams’ assist leader has been sideline with a foot injury and is currently day to day.

The 76ers recently had good news when Elton Brand returned to the lineup after missing games due to a hand injury. Leading rebounder Spencer Hawes however is still sidelined with an Achilles problems. The team has six scorers in double figures with Lou Williams leading all scorers with a 15.5 points per game average.

On the road, the Warriors are just 8-6 ATS, while the 76ers are 12-8 ATS when playing at home. Head to head the two teams are 5-5 SU over their last ten games. Philadelphia is 6-4 ATS in those same 10 games and the total has been UNDER in 5 of those 10 games.

Golden State is 3-2 SU in their last five games. They have won two of their last three games on the road. Philly is just 1-4 SU in its last five games and that includes a loss Wednesday night to Oklahoma City 92-88. Four of their last five games have been UNDER in total points.

The 76ers have struggled with injuries but with the return of Brand, it should help to offset Hawes’ injury on the boards. Look for a low scoring game with the 76ers squeaking out win SU at home against the Warriors. For Sportsbook Ratings Click Sportsbook Review
