Orlando vs. Oklahoma City Free NBA Pick

Kevin Durant

The Oklahoma City Thunder will continue their road trip when they visit the Orlando Magic on March 1 at the Amway Center. The Thunder are 27-7 and in first place in the Northwest division. The Orlando Magic are 22-13 and second in the Southeast division. Both teams have played one game since their five-day break for the All Star game and should be well rested for the highly anticipated encounter.

Kevin Durant leads the Thunder in two statistical categories. He is the team high scorer and leading rebounder. Point guard Russell Westbrook leads the Thunder in assists and steals and is the team’s second leading scorer. Both teams do not have any injuries that should affect their play.

Dwight Howard leads the Magic offensively and defensively. He leads the team in scoring, rebounding, blocked shots and steals. He has a very good supporting cast and of late, the team is starting to gel as they head into the season’s second half.

Orlando has held the edge of late when the two teams have met head to head. The Magic is 7-3 SU and 6-4 ATS in the last 10 games the teams have played against one another. The last meeting was the opening game of the season for both and Oklahoma won 97-89 covering a 7.5 point spread.

Oklahoma won four straight before the All Star break including beating the LA Lakers and Boston Celtics. In those games, they were 2-2 ATS. The Magic was 2-2 SU in their last four games before the All Star break. They lost to rivals Miami and Atlanta and beat Milwaukee and New Jersey. In that stretch, they were 1-3 ATS.

This game will feature the high scoring Thunder against one of the best defensive teams and the league’s best defensive player in the Magic and Howard. The Thunder will be on the road but should be a good pick ATS, while the UNDER should win.
