Pistons vs. 76ers Free Pick

Pistons Cover ATS

The NBA starts its second half of the lockout shortened season Tuesday February 28. The Philadelphia 76ers will travel to The Palace in Auburn Hills to take on the Detroit Pistons. Philadelphia enjoyed a good first half of the season and is currently in first place in their division with a 20-14 record. The Pistons have not had much success this season. They are in a quagmire and have a record of just 11-24.

The 76ers are loaded with youth but have two players currently out with injuries. Those injuries have affected their play over the last five to ten games. Offensively Lou Williams who is scoring just 15.7 per game leads the 76ers. Spencer Hawes, who is currently injured but may play, is the team’s leading rebounder with 8.3 per game.

The Pistons’ Greg Monroe is their leading scoring and rebounder. He averages 16.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. The team assist leader is Rodney Stuckey who is averaging only 3.9 per game. The team has five players averaging in double figures making them at times, hard to defend.

Detroit is 5-5 SU and ATS against Philadelphia over the last 10 games the two have played head to head. The total has been UNDER 5 times in those same 10 games. The two have been scoring over 200 points between them last season but this season the scoring has gone down quite substantially when the two meet.

The 76ers struggled leading up to the All Star break and were 0-5 SU in their last five games prior to the break. The Pistons were 3-2 SU prior to the break including two victories against Boston.

Detroit plays very well at home and has improved their defense since the beginning of the season. This game should be low scoring with an UNDER wager winning and Detroit winning ATS. Bet baketball now at our top sportsbooks.
