Thunder vs Lakers

February 23, 2012

The star of today will take on the star of tomorrow when Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers visit Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder February 23 at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The Lakers are currently in a bit of turmoil as Bryant has expressed his dissatisfaction with managements handling of a possible trade involving teammate Paul Gasol. The Thunder however, is rolling along with an impressive record of 25-7.

Kevin Durant

Bryant leads the Lakers, as he has for the better part of 10 years. He leads the team in scoring with a 29 point average and is the team leader in assists with an average of 5 per game. Andrew Bynum is rebounding at a rate of 12.8 per game to lead the Lakers in that category.

The Thunder is led by high scoring sensation Durant who is averaging a team high 27.7 points per games. He also leads the team in rebounding with an average of 8.2 boards per game. Russell Westbrook has recovered from an injury to return and lead the team in assists with 5.5 per game and steals with 1.9 per game. He also helps Durant in the scoring column by averaging 23.4 points per game.

Head to head the two teams have been somewhat equal with the Lakers having a record of 6-4 SU and 4-5-1 ATS in the last ten games between the two teams. The total has been UNDER 6 out of those 10 games.

The Lakers are 3-1 SU over their last four games. After being blowout by Phoenix Sunday night they played a very good defensive game to beat Portland by 11 Monday at home. The Thunder is also 3-1 SU in their last four games. Their only loss in four games was a one point loss at Houston.

The game should be exciting with lots of points scored. The total looks to be OVER with the Thunder winning SU. However we can see a Lakers cover on the point spread of +6. Bet this now at Bet Revolution
