Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks

February 23, 2012

Lebron

The New York Knicks have run into a bit of a problem of late but are still playing much better ball than they did at the start of the season. They will visit the Miami Heat on February 23 at American Airlines Arena in Miami. The Knicks are currently 16-17 but have high scorer Carmelo Anthony back in the lineup. The Heat is 26-7 and in first place in their division.

Carmelo Anthony who is averaging a team high 21.8 points per game leads New York. The new sensation on the block, Jeremy Lin is scoring 14.6 per game and leading the team in assists with 5.7 per game. Tyson Chandler rules the paint for the Knicks, as he is rebounding 9.6 per game and helps the offense with 12 points a game.

The Heat is led by all world LeBron James. James is leading the team in both rebounding and assists. He is averaging 27.6 points and 6.8 assists per game. Chris Bosh who averages 8.3 rebounds per game clears the boards on both the offensive and defense ends for the Heat.

Miami has controlled the head-to-head matchup between the two teams, as they are 8-2 SU and 5-5 ATS in the last 10 games between the two teams. The total has been UNDER 5 times, OVER 4 times with 1 PUSH in those same 10 games.

The Knicks have cooled of late and are just 2-2 SU in their last four games. Nevertheless, one of those wins was against Dallas. Miami on the other hand is 5-0 SU over their last five games. One of those wins was against in-state rival Orlando.

Miami is starting to gel as a team now that their three superstars are healthy. The outcome should be a win SU for Miami with the total being UNDER. We have no pick on the spread. Bet Now at Top Sportsbook
