Miami Hurricanes vs. North Carolina Tarheels

UNC Hoops

A key matchup between Atlantic Coast Conference teams will take place on February 15 when the Tar Heels of North Carolina visit Miami to take on the Miami Hurricanes at BankUnited Center. The Tar Heels come into the game with a 21-4 record while the Hurricanes have played very well but have a record of 15-8.

The Tar Heels have balanced scoring and have five players averaging in double figures. High scorer Scott Wood leads the attack with a 13.4 points per game average. C.J. Leslie is not far behind as he averages 13 points per game along with 6.4 rebounds. Lorenzo Brown runs the offensive averaging 11.8 points and 6.7 assists per game. Richard Howell controls the boards for the Heels with a per game average of 9.2.

Three players who average 12 points per game lead Miami. Kenny Kadji and Durand Scott are both averaging 12.6 per contest, while Malcolm Grant is chipping in with 12.1 per game. Reggie Johnson runs the offense while averaging 11.4 points per game and 6.9 assists.

On the road, the Tar Heels are 8-2 SU over their last ten games and 5-1 SU in their last six games played against Miami in Miami. However, the Hurricanes are tough at home. They are 14-2 SU in their last 16 games played in Miami.

Head to head the Tar Heels hold a commanding edge. The Heels are 9-1 SU in the last ten games the two have played against one another. The Heels are also 6-4 ATS in those same ten games. The total has been OVER in five and UNDER in five of the last ten games the two have played head to head.

North Carolina is 4-1 SU over the five games they have played with the only loss to Duke on a last second three-point basket. All four of their wins in that stretch have been against other ACC teams. The ‘Canes are also 4-1 SU over their last five games including a thrilling overtime victory over Duke at Duke. North Carolina SU looks like a good choice in this contest of ACC teams. North Carolina Money Line is the bet.
